Abstract Background

Counseling

My counseling technique tends to be strength based & client-centered with psychoanalytical and cognitive behavioral elements. This means that we build on strengths and acknowledge situations in the past that may be creating a barrier to what you want in your current life. As counselor and client, we identify individual goals of counseling together. Some clients see me weekly, every other week, or monthly, depending on each person's situation and availability of time.

Fees & Insurance

Counseling Sessions:

Counseling sessions typically last 45-50 minutes. I am self-pay, which means that I do not accept insurance. I do, however, offer to provide what is called a superbill. This is a type of invoice that is appropriate to send your own insurance company for possible reimbursement. Any time you use your insurance for mental health, you will be required to have a diagnosis. This is something we can talk about if you choose to go this route. I can only provide a superbill after payment. It is a required part of the process. Check with your insurance company for your individual plans and reimbursement options.

Counseling Fees:

My typical fee for sessions (45-50 min) is $150

Extended session fees are planned beforehand, and payments are worked out and clear before that happens.
